Welcome to End Animal Cruelty! No, I’m not an activist nor do I preach! Just here to bring awareness about the awful truth about the suffering of animals.
My Story in the Army…
I knew when I was young that animals would be a huge part of my life. I always thought I’d be a veterinarian but that never panned out, but as I grew and we had pets, I was always the one that cared for them. My friends played with Barbie dolls, I played with stuffed animals.
I joined the Army in 1986 as a 91T, Animal Control Specialist, or Veterinary Tech. What I didn’t know is that I would be training in a research facility in Maryland after basic training. My ultimate goal was to become a Military police officer but I was not big enough for military standards. Training to become a vet tech was grueling and doing it in a research facility was horrible and more terrifying as we didn’t know what was going to happen once we received our orders once we graduated.
Luckily, I went on to Ft. Bragg in North Carolina and worked in the ADPAC which is the Animal Control on post, whereas a counterpart of mine went on to Fort Sam Houston in Texas where she had to work in a research facility.
This line of work totally changed my way of thinking for life!
My Goals for You!
That is why I developed this topic. To bring animal cruelty to the forefront. Not only dogs and cats, but livestock, research facilities, and how they are used and why. It is truly barbaric and sickening, and as consumers you have a right to know. Not only that, the deceptions that online purchasing can be such as Craigslist, and how it’s filled with crooks that want to buy your dog and sell it to research facilities. And yes, that happens!
In one word, that sums of up the purpose of my website, to bring awareness and suggest product lines that may be of interest to you as well.
If you ever need a hand or have a questions, feel free to leave them below and I will be more than happy to help you out.
